Hi doctor,

My mother is 65 years old. She has done a pancreas operation before four years and a delivery-related operation before 28 years. The doctor has advised her to take boiled food to avoid liver-related issues. She has a lump on the belly for the past two months. It is present directly below the ribcage. It seems to be small in size with a sharp top. We suspect it to be a hernia. Since her body is fragile for undergoing the operation, I need to know the diet and lifestyle changes needed for her.

Welcome to

She can follow the following dietary plan. She should avoid taking tea or coffee before breakfast. She should have atleast 500 grams of seasonal fruits in the breakfast. She can take raw veggies as salads in the lunch with oil-free cooked curries and veggies. She should take multigrain roti or unpolished rice. She should take fruit juice or coconut water with some plain nuts and dry fruits in the evening. She should take dinner as same as lunch. She can replace salads with homemade veggies soup. She should finish her dinner before 9 'o clock and she should not have any food until 9 'o clock in the morning. She should avoid taking biscuits, bread, fried foods, maida, milk items, white sugar, refined oil, white salt, nonvegetarian foods with eggs.
