Hello doctor,
I hurt my lower back maybe a year or two ago, and I was in a lot of pain. I am a dancer and was lifting my dance partner into the air without stretching and hurt my lower back severely. I could not even walk at that time. I was in agony. I never saw a doctor for this pain as I was scared to be stopped from dancing although I had to stop due to the pain. I could not even bend as my back would not let me as well as the pain. After about two weeks, I could walk and slowly bend even though it hurt a lot. It took many months for the pain to go away although often when it is cold outside or if I do any activity the pain comes back, but it is not as severe. I am just wondering about the injury. Could that be a muscle pull or something more serious?
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
It seems that you need to take care of your back more than before.
First of all, you need to do an x-ray and MRI to get the root cause of the pain. Until and unless you do not get the exact cause, it is better to avoid any kind of stress on the back.
It is always necessary to have a warm-up session before any big activity or sport. Start some trunk stretching exercises for the time being.
Maintain your posture so that it will not put much pressure further.
X-ray and MRI of the back as soon as possible.
