Hi doctor,

I have been having pain in my lower back since I did a workout yesterday. Every time I bent down, I felt pain in my lower back.

Your low back pain could be due to soreness in your butt muscles or paraspinal muscles of the lower back. Do not worry. This is normal if you have done a workout for your lower body.

I would suggest you to

  1. Do a lot of icing in your butt frequently for 15 minutes for at least three to four times a day.
  2. Gently stretch your lower back and butt muscles.
  3. Get a tennis ball and roll that ball under your butt.
  4. Maintain proper posture and form during exercises.
