Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
My 12-year-old daughter was walking with her dog at night. The dog saw a cat and it pulled my daughter to the ground. My daughter got a hit in her tailbone. Now she is having pain in the neck and toes with numbness and tingling. Is this something to be concerned about? Can it escalate into something serious?
Please help.
Thank you.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
There is nothing to be worried about your daughter. It is just a minor jerk. As she is 12 years old, her weak muscles cause pain in her. You can give a tablet of Aceclofenac with Paracetamol for three days. You can also give Paracetamol syrup twice a day for three days after taking food.
You can apply an ice pack or Diclofenac ointment to the area of pain. You can keep it covered with a cotton cloth. Clean it with warm water after following hot water fermentation. Gently rotate her foot for 80 to 90 degrees. If possible, flexion, extension, and last rotation of the foot can be done. Keep her foot in warm water for 10 to 15 minutes. This process will help to remove pain from the toes and foot.
Your daughter can have a Diclofenac injection and it helps to reduce the pain quickly. There is nothing to be worried about and everything will be fine within three days.
I hope that you get your answer.
Please let me know if you need any help.
Thank you.
