Which foods have same benefits as avocado?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have been trying to improve my diet and incorporate more healthy foods, but I just cannot seem to enjoy avocados. I have heard they are really good for me, but I am wondering if it is necessary to include them in my diet.

Are there other foods that can provide similar health benefits?

I want to make sure I am still eating well, even if I am not a fan of avocados.

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

What if I told you that the foods we eat not only work for your brain but also make you feel happier? Food can make you happy. I will tell you the reason.

Avocado goes on top of most foods.

It will not affect your health if taken in moderation, which is half an avocado a day.

Benefits:

  • Avocado contains an amino acid called tryptophan which is used by the brain to produce serotonin. Serotonin makes you feel good and happy.

  • It is a source of good fat, and it can be added to a diet in various forms.

  • Half an avocado, medium size, is an ideal recommendation for a daily diet.

  • Food always creates a sensation of good and positive feelings. Always eat food with huge love and involvement that makes a difference, no matter if it is avocado or broccoli.

  • Alternatives to adding good fat can be fish, mixed seeds, nuts, olive oil, etc.

I hope I have answered your question.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards.
