Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I am a 25-year-old male. As I am committed to improving my overall health and well-being, I am particularly interested in understanding the benefits and best practices occurring with aerobic exercises. Can I know the specific health benefits occurring with aerobic exercise? What are some common types of aerobic exercises, and how do they differ in terms of intensity and impact? What is the recommended frequency and duration of aerobic exercise for individuals looking to improve their cardiovascular fitness? Is it beneficial to incorporate a variety of aerobic exercises into a fitness routine?
Thanks.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
Start slow if you are starting to do workouts like regular exercises such as running, swimming, and cycling can be added. Aerobic exercises will surely help get you going and build endurance, then start with a more detailed one. Exercises has its own benefits like cardio for heart health, weight training for weight loss, muscle building, or simply maintaining body in that to we cannot do daily as we need give time to body to recover and rest.
Most of the time we fail to be active as we start everything together with high intensity and do not focus on recovery. Check these guidelines, it will help.
1. Get up and stretch yourself every 45 minutes to one hour, as sitting for a long can damage your posture. If you are resting at home, do not take a 45-minute nap. At work, walk the length of the office every hour or two to keep your back happy, your muscles supple, and your blood circulating.
2. Indulge in some deep breathing exercises; they will help you stay calm or even put you to sleep. Practicing some pranayam can help here.
3. Plan your week so that your traveling time becomes your rest day because we women, after any event, tend to lose our routine and take time to return.
4. Use the long corridors and long waits for a quick, brisk walk in airports or stations. Take stairs rather than escalators. After all, you have to sit for hours for work, so make the most of your time while waiting at the station.
5. If using a car, park your car away from the destination and try walking.
After 15 days of being active, start with a small home-based workout. Then, gradually, go back to adding weights. Working on a diet is equally essential so that you can get back to me again with a detailed routine.
I hope this information will help you.
Thanks.
