Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have developed tinnitus in my right ear due to a fungal infection. Tinnitus is high-pitched, and I do not have it if I keep my head still. Tinnitus is activated when I swallow or suck my mouth and tilt my head to squeeze my right side. And if I swallow again, the tinnitus will stop. But I cannot stop moving my head while sleeping, and the activated tinnitus wakes me up, which is excruciating. Occasional swellings are present. How long does this last? What to do about it?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. Could you please tell me more about your problem? Are you also experiencing tinnitus-related hearing loss or giddiness? Do you have a history of smoking, diabetes, high blood pressure, and thyroid? What is your job profile? Also, have you recently been exposed to any loud noise? Please answer these questions for better assessment and evaluation.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for the reply. I do not have any hearing loss (normal hearing test) and giddiness. I do not smoke, and I do not have diabetes, thyroid problems, or high blood pressure. I am an Entrepreneur. I was not exposed to any loud noise. Everything began with a fungal ear infection.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. Do not worry. It will go away in a few days. But, if it does not, please let us know. I suggest you take tablet Tinnicar (Caroverine) or capsule Otocap (Alpha Lipoic Acid, elemental Chromium, elemental Magnesium, elemental, Zinc, Gingko Biloba, Methyl Cobalamin, Vitamin B6, Vitamin C, and Vitamin E) twice a day for 15 days and tablet Neurobion Forte (Thiamine) once a day. Also, take tablet Levocet (Levocetirizine) 5 mg as needed for five days. Then, continue antifungal eardrops for five more days.
