Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have head tics, and for the past week, I have been waking up with a pounding forehead headache, and pain all day every time I get a tic. What to do?

Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I went through your query.

I can understand your concern.

According to your statement, you have been suffering from head tics for the past week.

Such types of head tics that are pounding in nature may result from various reasons like migraine, cluster headaches, sinusitis, anxiety, anemia, stress, deprivation of sleep, hormonal disorders, and many more.

As you are a patient of migraine, most probably migraine can cause such type of head tics. Again, your predisposing factor, like osteoarthritis, can also can cause head tics as it has already affected your jaw joints.

I suggest you take a tablet of Propranolol (beta blocker) for head tics. But if this suffering persists longer, then you can visit a physician to undergo an MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) of the brain.

Hope it helps.

Thanks and regards.
