Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 20 years old and have 134.48 lb weight with 5'5" height. I used to be 110.23 lb and it was perfect for me, but I gained 22.05 lb in two years since I joined the university. I have been going through a problem which led me to weight gain. The problem is that once I go to sleep, I wake up in the middle of the night unconscious and go to the kitchen and eat (even though I am never hungry). I exercise daily and eat healthy throughout the day but due to this night eating problem, I am not able to lose weight. This has been going on with me for the past two years and I am so tired of it now because all my effort throughout the day goes to waste. Please help me with this. I really need help. Waiting eagerly for the response.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Do not stress, you can easily manage your problem. Please do take a consultation with a psychologist. Let us talk about the night problem. Please arrange kitchen and the place you go and eat with fruits and vegetables or place a glass of milk or healthy snack or a portion of light breakfast. With these changes even if you eat, it is rich in fiber and healthy food. Now you may need to manage a whole day diet. Do not starve. Decide your meal to 5 to 6 meal pattern with three major meal like breakfast, lunch, and dinner and between breakfast, lunch, eat fruits and lunch and dinner, have a healthy snack and bedtime milk and fruit. With these, you may solve your issues for weight reduction. For more information consult a nutritionist online --> https://www.icliniq.com/ask-a-doctor-online/nutritionist
