Hi doctor,
I hurt my shoulder a few weeks ago. I feel like I have lost sustainability on my shoulder. It pops and cracks in different positions. I went for an MRI. I will attach my report, but my main question is would I need corrective surgery to fix the issue. Kindly give your opinion.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I have seen the MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) report of the injured shoulder (attachments removed to protect the patient's identity). I want to suggest physiotherapy treatment, in which passive exercises are given for fixing rotator cuff tendinitis.
Try using the RICE method immediately following an injury (rest, ice, compression, and elevation). They work together to reduce pain and swelling. Once the swelling has gone down, and your arm is no longer painful to move, certain exercises can help you heal and prevent issues such as frozen shoulder or loss of range of motion.
Doorway stretch, side-lying rotation, high to low rows, reverse fly, and lawn mower pull, these exercises can be done at home by yourself.
Visit the nearest physiotherapy center for treatment of exercises for 15 days. If there is no improvement after 15 days, you need to go for corrective surgery, which will be the last option.
I hope this was helpful.
