Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
Most often, I have heard from doctors that there is a liquid between every joint which is similar to an oil or grease to gears in the vehicle. They say, when we crack our bone, an element of that liquid gives the cracking sound and if we do it often, then the liquid declines and we can have severe joint pain. Now the question is that chiropractic doctor most often cracks the bones which may relax for time being but would give severe pain after 50 years of age, is this fact?
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Cracking of joints is not advisable as there is a release of nitrogen molecule which in later stages can give trouble to joints more. In chiropractic practice, there is just unlocking of the joint so that the sensory system which is located over the joint gets released of the pressure and pain comes down.
Now to make it more principle way, when there is pressure on the joint this might be due to the weakness of the muscle. As the muscular system acts as a support system to maintain the gap between the joints so that the proprioceptive system of the joint do not get pressure and also joint friction is avoided.
I would advise you that you focus on strengthening the muscular system so that the pressure on the joint can be relieved and also the joint proprioception do not get trouble. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
