Hello doctor,

I have PCOD and have been advised by my doctor to reduce my weight. However, I have gastritis and cannot eat pulses and nuts. I need a non-vegetarian diet to reduce weight. Please suggest.

I suggest the following.

  1. In the early morning, around 7 AM to 1 PM, take glass-soaked fenugreek seed water with one pinch of cinnamon powder.
  2. At 7.15 AM, take green tea and four almonds.
  3. For breakfast, around 8.30 AM, take vegetable oats and two egg whites.
  4. In mid-morning, around 11 AM, take fruits.
  5. For lunch, around 1.30 PM, take two multigrain atta roti with vegetables, fish, soybean, or chicken curry.
  6. For evening snacks, around 5.30 PM, take half a bowl of vegetable or chicken stew.
  7. For dinner around 9 PM, take chicken and vegetable stew in one bowl and salad on one plate, only for three days a week.

I also suggest you the following instructions.

  1. Take plenty of vegetables and fruits.
  2. Avoid fast foods, sugary products, and chocolate ice cream.
  3. Regular exercise is a must.
  4. Monitor your sugar level regularly.
  5. Drinks lots of water (8 to 10 glasses a day).
  6. Do not overeat.
  7. Do not stress.
  8. Use less oil during cooking.
  9. Sleep for at least 8 hours.

However, please consult a specialist doctor, discuss with them and start following the diet with their consent.
