Consuming whole-fat dairy products can have the unwanted health effect of increasing your LDL (low-density lipids) cholesterol levels. They are high in saturated fat and cholesterol. Replace them with healthier, low-fat options including one percent milk or skim milk. Fat-free milk has the lowest percentage of saturated fat and cholesterol. It has 0 percent of the daily value of saturated fat and 2 percent cholesterol. Whole milk has 25 percent of the daily value of saturated fat, and 12 percent of cholesterol. People who wish to improve their cholesterol levels or maintain moderate levels may wish to avoid drinks high in saturated fats, such as:
