Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

This girl kicked my hand or wrist area a month ago. My elbow was sore for three to four days, and ever since, I would wake up with a sore elbow, which would calm down in half an hour or so. It was not swollen, but the pain came from the inside and was really sensitive when I would tense my muscles. Today the pain lasted for the whole day. Could there be something wrong, considering it has been a month since the injury? I do Taekwondo so my muscles in my arm are quiet stable.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your concern and understand your situation. Your morning stiffness could be due to some muscle spasms triggered due to the way you sleep. The initial spasm would have been there from the injury that you had due to the kick. I recommend you do a lot of icing frequently on your elbow for about 15 minutes. Avoid lifting weights or pushing and pulling activities for a while. And consider topical analgesic spray. Hope this is helpful to you. Kindly revert after two days to let me know how you feel.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
