Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have a female friend who has been depressed for a few months since she heard about someone suffering from brain cancer. She does not want to talk to any professionals. I am really worried, and I think she needs help and guidance. I have researched depression and grief and found that it is serious, and it scares me. I need help to get her back to normal. Kindly suggest.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern.

Your concern is valid and appropriate. I would like to know the answers to the following about your friend's depression.

1. What are the symptoms you are looking into? (Is it sadness, crying, or social isolation)

2. What is her daily routine after that incident till date?

3. What is that incident you mentioned (specify the details, time, day, exposure), did she mention that incident or refer to that for her current state?

4. How much of her daily routine is being affected after that?

5. Why does your friend refuse to visit a counselor?

Kindly provide me with the answers to guide you better.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
