How to improve the mood and reduce depressive thoughts?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 29-year-old woman. These days I have increased mood swings and do not have interest in any of my activities. I did not have any loss, nor did anything adverse happen in my life. I do not take any medications, nor do I smoke or drink. I feel that I have changed a lot, and I do not know why. Why am I facing this sudden depression? Please help me with medicines or home remedies. Also, kindly give me tips I can follow to improve my situation.

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern and would be happy to help. Mood swings are common to everyone. However, only their intensity can vary based on many reasons. I suggest you seek professional counseling from a psychologist to resolve the issue. A temporary or permanent solution can only be offered when the exact cause of the problem is known.

I hope this helps.

Kindly revert in case of further questions.

Thank you.

Regarding follow up

I suggest counseling through an online mode.
