How to lead a happy life ?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have issues with my mind. I do not want to see people hurting anyone. I want to see everyone without pain. I want to die. I cannot see this world getting ruined like this. I have a thyroid problem and my thyroid levels are more than 150. I tried to commit suicide twice but got saved. I loved someone with all my heart and he left me for the sake of his dad. I thought he was equal to god and I cannot forget him. It has been four years and he is still in my heart. I am taking Eltroxin 100 mcg. I have been prescribed some mental-related tablets by a psychologist four years back. How can I see everyone happy with no wrong thoughts?

Please suggest.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Ups and downs are common in life. People have different personalities, so you cannot expect anyone to behave as you expect. It is normal to have a breakup. But you should continue to live your life for yourself without looking back. Thinking about a lost person or object will never help you get out of depression. Moreover, your hypothyroidism is complicating your depressive symptomatology. Focus on a new hobby. Invest your time in your career. Get into the company of some friends and devote time to yourself. You will slowly come out of it. Remember, suicide is not the solution to your problem. Life is to live. After all, life is much more than all these. I suggest taking tablet Zosert 50 mg (Sertraline) twice daily along with tablet Clonotril 0.5 mg (Clonazepam) at night for two weeks. You can review with me for further follow-up. Consult a specialist and discuss with him/her and continue taking medications.

I hope this helps.

Thank you and take care.
