Why cannot I converse with people efficiently?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 36-year-old male and I cannot communicate with other people. They say my conversation is weak, boring, and serious all the time. I want to be a normal guy. Please guide.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

In various phases of life, it may happen that we fall into a routine and a fixed thought pattern. It may make us seem boring or serious to others. However, when it comes to having a conversation, it is also important to listen to the other person. It will make the conversation helpful and significant for him or her. Therefore, I would suggest you listen to the other person first with all your attention and understand what he or she is conveying to you. Secondly, as a person, we all have different interests. You should find more interests and pursue them as your hobby or recreation. It will shape your personality and it will help you to talk a lot more when you meet your friends. These two points should be immensely helpful. You are a brave person and you will certainly develop yourself more.

Thank you.
