Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
My boyfriend is loving and cares for me. He talks with me over the phone every day, but sometimes, when I call him, he does not pick up my call or disconnects it. If I do the same, he gets angry and will not call me again. He is like this from the beginning and is not involved with any other girl. He is not on any medication, sometimes, in between the call, he disconnects it and goes away. We live in different locations. When I ask him about his behavior, he says, I am like this and will not change for anyone. Please suggest to me what is the issue with him.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Thank you for taking help from a psychiatrist. I think it is his nature, accept his nature. Why does he need to take any medication? He does not have any abnormal behavior. It is difficult to maintain a long-distance relationship. It is hard to keep the same level of relationship as it was at the initial phase of your relationship. It is normal to lose charm and spark with time in a long-distance relationship. You need to talk about your concern to your boyfriend and solve it. You need to talk with him face to face and tell him that his behavior hurts you. If you are still not able to be happy, then think of your relationship. When you are in love and relationship, that means it is life and happiness, not burden and heaviness. I hope you find this helpful.
Thank you.
