Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I still feel hungry even when I eat. I become hungrier and still feel hungry within five minutes of eating. Please help.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I have read the query, and I can understand your concern.
You have not mentioned your age. I advise you to undergo the following laboratory tests:
1) Fasting blood glucose level.
2) Post-prandial blood glucose level.
3) Glycosylated hemoglobin.
4) Thyroid function test.
These tests will rule out any systemic problems that may be the reason for your increased appetite, like diabetes or thyroid dysfunction. Sometimes, we come across people who eat emotionally, when faced with problems in their personal lives. If you are going through a tough phase in your life, I advise you to do 15 minutes of meditation daily. You could also learn yoga, which helps to eliminate stress and is a good form of exercise.
I hope this will help you.
Thank you.
