Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I have been worried for a while now as I had an appendicitis operation around 15 years back, and it was all fine, but I have been looking at my physique for a while now. I noticed that my right hip, which is the operated part, is not as prominent as the left one, and it looks like two different bodies. The left is very prominent and higher than the right, and it affects the stomach as well but does not cause pain. Is there any way I could correct this defect?
Please help.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I can understand your concern.
I have reviewed your case and looked at your pictures (attachments are hidden to protect the patient’s identity), and I am not sure whether this is a chiropractic case. It is possible that your pelvis may be experiencing some misalignment, and in that case, I would suggest that you go see a local chiropractor.
With that being said, however, any time you have surgery, especially abdominal surgery, the surgeons are forced to cut through healthy, normal tissue to get to the injured or diseased area that they are trying to fix. In your case, it is possible that you may have scar tissue where your original surgery was performed, causing it to look like two different bodies.
I would suggest that you consult with your family practitioner.
I hope this helps you.
Thank you.
