Medical Conditions - Overhydration

Overhydration, also known as water intoxication, results from consuming an excessive amount of water, which dilutes the body's sodium levels. This imbalance leads to hyponatremia, causing cells to swell. Symptoms include nausea, headache, confusion, and, in severe cases, seizures or coma. Restoring electrolytes and restricting water intake are the management strategies.
