High-calorie food are beneficial in treating underweight and malnutrition. A body mass index of less than 18.5 is considered to be underweight. People with stress, depression, celiac disease, cancer, hyperthyroidism, type 1 diabetes, eating disorders, diarrhea, and high metabolism tend to be underweight. It can cause nutritional deficiency, anemia, fertility problems, weakened immunity, poor wound healing, fatigue, poor sleep, etc. Food like red meat, pork, chicken, fish, milk, cheese, butter, beans, yogurt, nuts, olives, peanut butter, avocado, mayonnaise, potatoes, whole grains, etc., are calorie dense and helps in regaining weight.
