Medical Conditions - Hamstring Injury

Hamstring muscles constitute the back of the thigh region. Injury to hamstring muscle can either be a pull or tear. Sudden forceful movements like jumping or overstretching the muscle beyond its limit are the causes. RICE therapy (rest, ice, compression, elevation) and pain-relieving medications resolve mild injuries within a few days. Performing warm-up exercises before intense physical activity, exercise, or sports help prevent such injuries.
