Medical Conditions - Blood Donation

A person when voluntarily gives his or her blood to be used for patients in need of blood transfusion is called blood donation. Before donating blood, the donor is screened for all possible diseases like HIV and hepatitis to prevent transmission. The donor's hemoglobin level is also tested to know if it is safe for the person to donate blood.
