Medical Conditions - Acromegaly

Acromegaly is a rare hormonal disorder that develops when the pituitary gland produces excess growth hormone in adults. It is most commonly caused due to a tumor in the pituitary gland. Symptoms include deepened husky voice, more extensive than average hands and feet, and facial features. Treatment involves drugs and, if required, surgery and radiation therapy to remove tumor cells.
