Autism is a complicated communication and behavior disorder and may display learning difficulties. It is diagnosed in children before three years of age which includes symptoms like lack of eye contact with people, increased sensitivity to sounds, sights, touches, and lighting, repeating things, robotic voice, etc. Asperger's syndrome, childhood integrative disorder, autistic disorder, and pervasive developmental disorder are the syndromes associated with autism. Although there is no treatment for autism, behavior and communication therapy and medications make a difference in the child's development.
