How is Waist to Chest Ratio and Chest to Hip Ratio calculated?

The Waist to Chest Ratio is calculated with the help of the following formula:

Waist to Chest Ratio = Waist in inches / Chest in inches

Similarly, the Chest to Hip Ratio is calculated using the following:

Chest to Hip Ratio = Chest in inches / Hip in inches

For this, you need your waist size, chest size and hip size in inches.

  • For waist measurements, you need to stand up straight and breathe out. Keep your measuring tape just above your belly button and measure the distance around the smallest part of your waist.
  • The distance around the largest part of your hips and the widest part of your buttocks will give you the hip measurements.
  • To know your chest measurements, you need to measure your chest across the nipple line.
