Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I sleep a lot. I am overthinking, and my mind chatters every time, but I cannot understand my thoughts and even can not control them. Also, these all things happen after my break up. I do not have access to stable internet for teletherapy, nor do my parents let me to a psychologist. Kindly help me out through chat. Whatever is possible, I will try to do it.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for taking help from a psychiatrist. You must move on in your life. You must stop stalking her on any social media. You must delete all her contacts. You should not be alone. You should try to be active and as much busy as you can. You should discard all stuff related to her memories. You may have depression if you are just stuck in it. You should follow the below guidelines for a healthy lifestyle and prevent yourself from getting depressed.

1) You should exercise 30 to 45 minutes daily, like at least going for a walk.

2) You should do meditation for 20 minutes daily; just sit in one place in a comfortable position and try to concentrate on your normal breathing, do not stop or force yourself to stop your thoughts; just let it be.

3) You should eat healthy home-cooked foods and avoid junk foods.

4) You should spend quality time with friends and family daily or do video calls if you are living away from your family.

5) You should spend time on creative hobbies like reading good books, writing journals, painting, drawing, and learning new skills or language or musical instruments.

6) You should take enough seven to eight hours of sleep daily.

7) You must avoid tobacco or alcohol or any substance abuse. Live your life, do not just spend it. You must not waste your life on someone who doesn't care for you. Live life for your parents, who have been taking care of you since your birth. Be bold and confident. I hope that you get your answer. Let me know if you want some help.

Thank you.
