Osgood Schlatter disease is a painful condition of bones below the knees. It occurs at the location where the patellar tendon meets the shinbone. Osteochondrosis or traction apophysitis are the other names for Osgood Schlatter's disease. Commonly seen in young children before puberty. It is caused due to abnormality in the growth plate.
