Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 19-year-old boy. My height is five feet and seven inches, and I weigh 61 kilograms. I am suffering from neck pain, back pain, and shoulder pain. I have been suffering from pain for a long time. For example, if I sit on a chair for a long time, I cannot walk. Also, the pain has reached to elbow now.

Kindly help me.

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your concern and advise you to get your neck properly examined for any postural abnormalities. You have to get your neck mobility and alignment restored with physiotherapy mobilizations. Do icing for your neck frequently. Maintain posture in all the activities you do.

While sleeping, have a rolled towel placed under your neck. Make sure you are comfortable after placing the towel else adjust the height of the roll. The gentle stretch of your neck muscles will help you feel lighter.

Start some strengthening exercises for neck muscles, like isometric and neck retraction exercises.

Hope this is helpful to you.

Kindly revert back if you need any further information in this regard.

Thank you.
