Hello doctor,

I am 32 years old, and weigh 116 lbs. My intention is to gain weight but while eating I am not able to eat much and some time I do not feel good to eat. Sometimes I feel hungry, as I start eating I do not feel to eat. Recently, I have tried Dexona pill and I am very satisfied with the result but I have stopped using the pill as per suggestions from doctor. I do not feel weakness. Kindly advice medicine for weight gain.

I would suggest you alternative food options, as medication would have side effects.

1. Early morning at 7 AM, take three to four pieces of soaked almonds or sprouts.

2. Breakfast at 8.30 AM, eat brown bread four pieces with boiled egg three pieces, bread and peanut butter four pieces.

3. Midmorning at 11 AM, take fruit juice especially pineapple, banana milk shake one glass or any fruit juice.

4. Lunch at 1.30 PM, eat rice around 200 gm cooked, veg curry one bowl, dal 50 gm, chicken breast curry 150 gm, or sour curd 1/2 cup.

5. Evening snacks at 5.30 pm, eat chicken stew or semolina porridge one bowl or chira pulav (rice dish).

6. Dinner at 8.30 to 9 pm, eat roti (flat bread) four piece or rice 150 gm, paneer (cottage cheese) curry one bowl.

I suggest to follow:

1. Exercise like strength training, or yoga.

2. Avoid stress and alcohol.

3. Take plenty of water (10 glass a day).

4. Eat more food at a each meal by forcing.

5. Before taking meal you can walk for sometimes as it help to you feel hungrier.

6. Sleep at least seven to eight hours per day.

7. Take chocolate, pastry, cake, chips, butter, ghee, paratha.

I hope I have cleared all your doubts.

Thank you.
