Hi doctor,
I am 32 weeks pregnant. My doctor suggested me take complete bed rest as the baby is very low down to the uterus. My problem is, I am unable to eat anything due to nausea and indigestion as there is no physical activity. I am losing weight and suffering from anemia and am on medication for these. My hemoglobin is 9 g/dL and I weigh 119 lbs. Currently, I am taking a capsule of Dompan SR, Ecosprin 75 mg, and Susten SR 300 mg once a day, a tablet of Corcium twice a day, and Depura (vitamin D) every 15 days. I am non-vegetarian.
Please suggest me a nutrient-rich diet plan. Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
1. In your pregnancy, you are in the third trimester. You can eat almost all good nutritive value-oriented foods except a few and be aware of the side effects of medicines without physician advice.
2. For your loss of appetite and indigestion problem, you should take soft, semi-solid, low-oil, and less spicy meals. Take vegetable soup and homemade stew twice a day with less oil and less salt.
3. Take folic acid, vitamin E, and vitamin C-rich vegetables and fruits in midmorning and midafternoon.
4. Citrus fruits like lemon, orange, guava, papaya, pears, and berries are good. Avocados, greens, spinach, beetroot, carrot, and gourd family vegetables are very helpful for making mixed vegetarian dishes.
5. Do not eat gravy or rich curry, but make simple food preparation.
6. Avoid meat, chicken curry, etc. Eggs, pulses, sprouts, cereals, and whole wheat all fiber-rich foods are good.
I will give you a good diet plan at the earliest. Take care.
