Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have pain, swelling, redness, and limited mobility in my left arm below my wrist. What is this condition, and what should I do?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

May I kindly know when and what caused the pain? For example, did you have a fall or try to lift some weight?

I would now suggest an MRI of your wrist if you had a fall or at least an X-ray to rule out a fracture that would have caused the swelling and pain.

I suggest the following.

  1. Apply ice to reduce the pain and swelling.
  2. Keep your wrist wrapped with a compression bandage.
  3. Keep your arm elevated while you sleep.
  4. Avoid lifting weights and pushing anything.

I also suggest you consult a specialist doctor, discuss with them and start taking the antiinflammatory medications with their consent.

I hope this helps.

Thank you and take care.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
