Q. How can I manage anxiety with stress?

Hello doctor,

I have anxiety disorder for 12 months and all day I feel stressful. Please suggest some medicine to help me.

For anxiety disorder, best long term therapy is regular pranayama practice and yoga practice. Please join for yoga and pranayama to nearby place. Second, in diet, reduce spicy salt and sour taste foods, all these foods will increase pitha (anxiety). Consume jeera water or jeera powder four times in a day.

Further you can visit nearby ayurvedic or siddha physician for further evaluation. The root cause has to be identified for psychological councelling and medication. If required you can take help from allopathic psychiatrist too. Changing the lifestyle and diet along with minimal medication will solve your problem.

Tobacco and tea both stimulate the sympathetic system, hence your palpitation will be aggravated by both. So, I suggest stopping these two. Otherwise, you will not get permanent relief.
