Yes to mentally orient the person it is necessary that right medication is ingested to the patient. In extreme cases, the patient does not want to have medicines too. The only option then is to hospitalize them and administer the course of medicines required for stabilization.

Agree with Dr. Anil Kumar. As far as psychotic patients are concerned, they are not in a phase to understand psychotherapy or motivational discussions. We have to take medical help first till his / her symptoms are normalized to the state where he can listen and understand the problem he is suffering.

Hello there, patients with psychosis are difficult to treat as they don't believe they have illness and mostly refuse to take medications. For uncooperative patient, the best option for family members is to get patient admitted in Psychiatry hospital and to start on antipsychotics. Once patient recovers then psychotherapy can be started. In this case the best option is to admit the patient.

Thank you so much doctors for your suggestions. I'm quite confident in this decision because most of the experts suggest rightly. The patient needs hospitalization at the initial stage to stabilize his psychotic symptoms.
