Gelsemium Drug Proving (Homeopathy)

Sheetal Kamble., BHMS

Medical Case Details:

Hello Homeopaths, recently I saw a 37-year-old patient who has been taking Gelsemium 200c twice a day for the last one year. Last month, he suddenly developed anxiety-like symptoms - palpitations, trembling, fear, anticipatory anxiety, high pulse rate, and BP 122/80 mmHg. I suspect this is a case of Gelsemium drug proving. Since he took medium potency of this remedy frequently, he developed the symptoms of the remedy. Have you noticed such cases in your practice, and how would you deal with them? I have stopped Gelsemium for now and waiting for symptoms to go away. Would you please share your experience related to this remedy?

Kindly antidote the effects using lower potency of Gelsemium itself using 6 or 30c twice for 2 to 3 days and retake the case if required different direct antidote to its effects using any of the followings like Atropin, China , Digitalis, or coffea.
    purely on symptomatic presentation.

    Hi doc
if the symptoms are not that much serious they will go away on their own after stopping the medicine.
If the symptoms still persist u need to antidote the drug and the best way to antidote is to take the symptoms of the patient and take it as a fresh case and find him a similimum
else u can try coffea 200 also
