I have treated many young dmd patient like you mentioned, see here there is too much of protein loss, so in diet protein rich foods can be prescribed. Physiotherapy is the integral part of rehabilitation without it treatment is not complete, Physiotherapy can prevent age related, muscle im balance related deformities, improve muscle strength and prevent contracture in upper and lower limb muscle

Coenzyme Q supplements may help.
It is also necessary periodical check up with cardiac ultrasound and resting ECG, chest X ray study to investigate for possible complications of the disorder, and try to treat them (pacemaker, antibiotics for the infections, etc..).

In condition like DMD where conventional treatment has very little to offer we should in the favor of patient's betterment employ all the possible means of treatment... especially Homoeopathic treatment which has shown very promising results in such cases... and instead of going for specific Medicine which is no good.. the patient should be encouraged to take proper Homoeopathic treatment.
with that the role of high antioxidants supplements also should be started as support therapy..
