Kidney or renal cancer either originate from the renal tubule or the renal pelvis. The symptoms of kidney cancer are blood in urine, the lump in the back near the kidneys, pain near the kidneys, anemia, fever, night sweats, tiredness, weight loss, and loss of appetite. In kids, Wilms’ tumor is the most common kidney cancer, and in adults, renal cell carcinoma is common. The treatment options include surgical removal of the kidney (nephrectomy) if the tumor is big, and if it is smaller than 4 centimeter, then partial nephrectomy can be done. If cancer has spread to the surrounding tissue, then the kidney is removed, and radiotherapy or chemotherapy are used. Other methods include embolization and cryoablation.
