About "Vitiligo"
It is a skin condition characterized by white patches in the body. This is due to the destruction of pigment-producing cells either due to an autoimmune cause, hereditary, etc., but mostly unknown. The symptoms include white patches in the skin, early graying or whitening of hair, eyelashes, eyebrows, loss of or change in color inside the nose and mouth. There is no specific treatment for this but a few measures can be taken like a skin graft, re-pigmentation using UV-light therapy, or skin lightening of unaffected areas, corticosteroids or cosmetics.
